PREVENTION • ADVOCACY • LEADERSHIP • ACTION!
BRITE stands for Building Resilience & Inclusion Through Engagement. BRITE is a youth development program providing interactive and innovative drug and alcohol prevention education for schools, youth groups, and parents. We engage young people (ages 12-25) in advocacy and action to promote health and well-being. We offer youth leadership, spokespersons and advocacy training. We partner with and support youth, families, schools and other organizations through initiatives to reduce drug & alcohol abuse and to promote health and well-bing. BRITE is made possible through funding from Ventura County Behavioral Health Department, Substance Use Services and through VCOE and school district Tobacco Use Prevention Education grants.
